“Nothing lasts forever,…” – Not even the best tower crane… and consequently the crane and crane structure must be attended to and properly taken care off to shore up the value under the crane and to keep investments in top shape for many years to come.

As Active Crane Hire has now been in business for 20+ years some of our and our clients cranes have had to undergo a full crane component and crane structural refurbishment. This is where the “all-inhouse” and end-to-end service capability of Active Crane Hire is at its best and where we differentiate ourselves from other equipment rental companies.

From a complete “strip down” of all major parts, to a complete sandblast and paint process in conjunction with the renewal of all major electrical components and moving parts, Active Crane Hire completes all these services “in-house” and turns some older “tired” looking equipment into near new cranes. Every process along the way is overseen by our trusted selected crane engineers, who at completion of the process will issue a full compliance report and major inspection certificate.

All works are carried out at our main factory located in Somersby at the Central Coast of NSW. As the location is just a short 45 minutes’ drive North of Sydney, we do offer factory visits to further explain the process to refurbish cranes and clients are able to oversee every stage of the refurbishment if they wish to do so.
